1-18-20 Sawgrass Tournament

posted Jan 18, 2020, 3:04 PM by Tony Dominguez
Once upon a time, we fished two tournaments in a row with 20 plus mph winds. Yes, it was windy yet again, for some of us in our favor, for others not so much. First off I would like to send a special thanks to the 'Canic for finally getting my boat right!! It seemed to be the fish were everywhere and you could catch a dozen in 30 seconds, but you couldn't even take them to the weigh in. We weighed in 52 fish altogether and from the stories at the ramp, we probably collectively caught 200 bass, 300 mudfish and another dozen gar. Nothing like wanting that big fish and whether you have a non boater and scream for the net or you're solo and run around your boat jumping over every obstacle to get the net to only find out its a 10lb mudfish. There's only one person without that problem...Rex Thompson, only because you won't find a net in his boat. All in all it was a good turnout, like I said we weighed in 52 fish for a total weight of 84.31lbs and the big bass was 5.33. There were 8 limits caught out of the 12 of us that fished. The results are as follows:

1st Chris 14.20
2nd Jeff 12.60
3rd Tony 8.67

Co Anglers
1st Clint 7.70
2nd Mike 3.93
3rd Jody 3.82

Big bass
Jeff 5.33

Congrats to all the winners.
