First I would like to extend my congratulations to Rex Thompson for Angler of the Year and Nick Sanchez for Co-Angler of the Year. I would like to also extend a thank you to all the members of the Homestead Hawg Hunters for nominating me as their VP/Tournament Director. I look forward to this season.

Just a little re-cap of last season, we fished from Aerojet Canal all the way up to Lake Kissimmee. Everyone had their share of wins and loses, good times and bad, and we've also had a bunch of great memories along the way, from Co-angler Battles to Angler battles, nonetheless the season was outstanding. We as a club weighed in 467 fish, to include one of Rex's trash fish, and only had 11 dead fish throughout the season resulting in 97.64% live releases. The total weight was 1030.82 lbs and as "Gunny" said big bass from this season went to Chris, which weighed in at 7.73lbs, out of the Falls, and no it wasn't a Peacock.

Again, looking forward to this new season, not only as VP/TD but also as an Angler, so Nick you can have this season also!

See you all at the next meeting on November 14th at the VFW in Homestead at 8pm. If you want to assist the VFW, come out a little earlier and enjoy their steak night!! This will be followed by our tournament out of Slims from 6a-2p on Saturday November 16th.
